The main objective of this course is to introduce the phenomenon of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial management from the strategic perspective, as a style of management. At the same time, the aim is also to enable students to understand the way how to define their managerial tasks from the entrepreneurial perspective, in order to conduct entrepreneurial activities in successful, efficient and effective manner.
Students will understand the phenomenon of internal entrepreneurship as good as practical aspects of the entrepreneurial process, which will in some way be inspired by the entrepreneurial behaviour, which includes specific knowledge and skills. The outcomes of this study include the identification of potential specific situations: self-assess business opportunities, their market valuation, an assessment of their own entrepreneurial skills, entrepreneurial strategies, as well as the modelling of the strategic development plan of the company. Through process of analyzing the phenomena of internal entrepreneurship, students will understand the role of management in terms of creating the conditions for innovation, creativity, motivation, creating new value and market valuation in terms of large organizations.
Basic concepts and frameworks of entrepreneurship, strategy, and other related disciplinary knowledge. Discovering and creating entrepreneurial opportunities, exploration and exploitation, understanding entrepreneurial risk and uncertainty, innovation and new product development, entrepreneurship and family business, behavioral characteristics of entrepreneurial activity, and entrepreneurial activity and economic growth.Strategic planing and creating strategic plan of the company: how to improve company's strategic posture? Strategy for improving innovative potential of the company. Analyzing external and internal environment and their impact on key elements of organizational competitive advantage. Entrepreneurial Risk and Uncertainty. Entrepreneurship and leadership. Growth and development of the business. New business models - how to implement the best business model for detected stage of growth.
Lectures and exercises. Practical approach involves process of creation a strategic plan for development of the company. During the classes, the work will be done in groups or individually.
