Civilization as we know it and we live in is based on technology and without technology would not exist in the form in which it is, so the ability to manage technologies is the most important for future development. Accordingly, the general objective of the course is the understanding of technology management roles in business and technology creation, implementation and integration of technological innovations in order to meet strategic and operational objectives. In this sense, the goal of the course is to develop in students the ability to: (1) analysis of technological trends (2) understanding of the relationship knowledge - innovation - technology, (3) management of technology innovation, (4) the commercialization of technology through independent entrepreneurial venture or entrepreneurial engagement within an existing organization, and (5) the protection of intellectual property resulting from the development of technology.
Students who attending the lecture, conduct exam prerequisites and pass the exam are able to: (1) use tools for analysis of technology trends, draw conclusions, propose and compare different technological strategies, (3) form an action plan that is made use of selected strategies, and (4 ) participate in its implementation at the enterprise level as engineers in developing products or menagement in a leadership position, (5) generating technology strategy, based on the business strategy (6) propose and participate in the implementation of innovation and intellectual property protection strategy.

Number of registered patents and registered as an indicator of innovation, technological progress and development. Knowledge transfer and technology.
Teaching is conducted through lectures and exercises. Lectures are auditory and combine theory with practical examples that are the basis for discussion. Lectures partly implemented guest speakers. In the exercises, the work will be done in groups or individually. Part of the curriculum will be implemented by visiting fairs, organizations and companies.
