The subject entrepreneurial and investment management aims to obtain combined knowledge from the field of entrepreneurship and financial and investment management. The purpose of the course is to develop creative thinking and intuition to identify business opportunities and to assess the financial acceptability of investments.
Students will have developed awareness of the importance of self-employment and the use of their own creativity and ability to identify real ideas and their market valuation. Students will acquire competencies to manage the life cycle of businesses.
Development of entrepreneurial economy. Personality of the entrepreneur. Entrepreneurial process. Methods and techniques of strategic planning. Market entry strategies. Development of entrepreneurial ideas. Writing a business plan. Support to the development of entrepreneurship. Innovation in entrepreneurship. Life cycle of products and enterprises. Making an investment decision. Significance and types of investments. Financing business. Investment management and investment projects. Financial markets and its participants. Investment objects.
A combination of interactive and classical approach to lectures. Focus on case studies and examples of good practice. Review of concrete problems in the field of entrepreneurship and investment management. Learning through practical work and creative problem solving. Group practical work on exercises and training for successful presentation of the project. Consultations. Guests - successful investors and entrepreneurs.
