The ability to use the up-to-date error protection coding methods.
Trellis codes (binary and non-binary signals, signal constelations, grids, Ungerback code (TCM- Trellis Code Modulation), set partition, turbo codes, practical realization of modern modems); Block codes (the finite fields, minimal polynomes over finite fields, polynome manipulation, linear error protection block codes, cycle codes (CRC), BCH and RS codes and their decoding, LDPC codes, the overview of the error protection code applications.
