Miroslav Miškić was born in Obudovac, municipality Šamac RS/BiH, where he completed the elementary school. He completed the High school in Tuzlz, and university in Zagreb in 1989.
He got his Master’s degree in Belgrade, and PhD in 2008 at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad in field of Corporate Governance in Insurance.
At the same Faculty, in 2012 he was appointed as the assistant professor, and he is lecturer for several courses from field of insurance.
In his rich employment career, he worked in his parent municipality Šamac, and he also dealt with private business.
From 1996 until end of 2015 he worked on several managerial positions from field of insurance in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During that time he was performing various management functions from a director of Branch office to General Manager of Jahorina/Wiener osiguranje.
He was also a director of associated legal entities within the same Group.
He performed also series of functions in different bodies and organization from field of capital market, and especially from field of insurance, as a member of Board of Directors or member of Shareholders’ Meetings of those organizations.
He also held the position of the President of the Association of the Insurance Companies with the Chamber of Commerce of the republic of Srpska in Banja Luka.
He was or is a member of the Board of Directors of the Green Card Bureau in BiH, Protection Fund of RS, Association of Technical Checkups of the RS, he was a member of the National committee for traffic safety of the RS, Company for Management of Investment Funds, and certain number of companies.
He has great experience and knowledge in management of insurance companies, both practical and theoretical, including the regulatory requirements of the insurance market.
He has practical knowledge and is familiar with the issues of management and investment of assets of insurance companies in line with the opportunities on the market and in accordance with the law.
He is a recipient of the award for best manager from field of insurance for 2015. Also, he is recipient of the award for best manager and best company from field of Public sector in BiH for 2019. Both of these awards come from the European Association of Managers in BiH. He has experience in managing of the most complex projects in the roads infrastructure, including the situation with significant elements of crisis management. He is familiar with the procedures for implementation of the financing projects of the international creditors. He has experience in work with and interpretation of the contract conditions in construction of infrastructure according to the FIDIC contracts and conditions.
He took part in great number of scientific forums in country and abroad, in capacity of participant, author and lecturer.
So far he has published, in domestic and foreign magazines, over 30 professional and scientific papers from field of insurance, risk management in insurance, investment of assets of insurance companies, corporate governance in insurance. He is also an author of three books.
He holds certain number of licenses and certificates for performance of securities brokerage activities, ISO standards, corporate activities and management, and financial analysis and valuation of companies, certificate for liquidation receiver, and also IFC certificate for a Board member of companies.
