Ivana Milenković was born in Odžaci. She received her primary and secondary education in Odžaci. In 2001, she enrolled in studies at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, in the study program Industrial Engineering, majoring in Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation. She obtained the academic title Master of Industrial Engineering on 28.09.2006.

During her studies, she was awarded of scholarships from the Fund for Young Talents of the Republic of Serbia, the Dr. Zoran Đinđić Fund, and numerous other faculty and university scholarships and awards.

In February 2007, she enrolled in PhD studies at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in the Industrial Engineering study program, as part of the first generation of students who attend studies in accordance with the new Law on Higher Education and was a scholarship recipient of the Serbian Ministry of Science. Since 2008, she has been employed at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, first as a teaching assistant, and since September 2009, as an assistant-master for the scientific field of Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation.

She obtained the title of PhD in Industrial Engineering in October 2014, defending her doctoral dissertation entitled "Compressed air quality as a function of sustainable production" in the field of Industrial Engineering. In February 2015, she was elected to the position of assistant professor, and in February 2020, to the position of associate professor.

She is the author of a large number of scientific papers.

In addition to professional internships at the companies Festo and Siemens, in Germany and Austria, she was also a guest lecturer at the Technikum in Vienna.
She was a collaborator on numerous TEMPUS projects and projects of the Ministry of Science, as well as a participant in numerous projects implemented with the economy in the area of increasing the energy efficiency of compressed air systems.
