Vojin Ilić je diplomirao 22.10.2004. godine na Fakultetu tehničkih nauka. Iste godine upisuje magistarske studije na Fakultetu tehničkih nauka. Od novembra 2004. godine postaje stipendista ministarstva za nauku i zaštitu životne sredine. 01. decembra 2007. godine prelazi u radni odnos na Fakultetu tehničkih nauka, na Katedri za automatiku i upravljanje sistemima. 06. decembra 2007. godine brani magistarsku tezu, pod nazivom: "Prilog analizi jednodimenzionalnih elektrofizioloških signala". Doktorsku disertaciju pod nazivomČ "Prilog upravljačkim interfejsima neuralnih proteza", odranio je 26.04.2013.
